Loomis' Family Affair

The Loomis’ family affair took place at Mami’s cousins’ house in Bernville; yes this is really named after Bern, Switzerland because Bärners settled in this area of central Pennsylvania. I even got to meet my 2nd cousin Cadence Marie who is 3 months older than I am.

HOT... Baby!!!

The weather for the last weekend of my US Trip was very hot and humid…Mami had me stripped down to my diapers. I like being able to play with me bare feet, stomach and legs; it is like being on the changing table where Mami lets me explore my world.

Reading in Reading, PA

Grandpa Loomis

My Grandpa likes to pose with me for the camera...and Mami even talked him into carrying me in my "Tragetuch" (English: Sling) for an evening walk!

Prints in Stone

At 4 ½ months old, I really like reading, watching Great Grandpa explain Patty-Cake to me and chewing on most anything but especially my plastic letters. My vocabulary has grown to screams, squeals and grunts of all sorts, whisper cooing, regular cooing and laughing out loud. I focus on quality when it comes to my development and this shows, so Mami says, by my motor movements—I do it and do it and do it until I have it down to the “T” and do not take on a bunch of new things at once. For the past month I have been perfecting my head holding while on my stomach and turning from my stomach to my back.

Here are my prints in stone at 4 1/2 months old...

Hooded Me

My laughs out loud, screams of delight and cooing while I play seem to make Mami and Papi happy.

On the Go + Festival

Papi gently woke me up to go to River Fest in Towanda, PA; but with all the action I soon went back to sleep. Then it seems like just a short time afterwards, Mami and Papi were on the go with me again. Check out Papi’s new camo hat we got real cheap for Africa holidays.

Creek Work

Papi is a bit of an antsy guy and when he saw the rock wall that had fallen in the creek, he was more than happy to help Great Grandpa build it back up!
They even did a bunch of cutting and cleaning up from the bridge to the burning area.
Papi did not take Great Grandma and Great Grandpa up on their offer for him to stay there for the next 2 months to help out with other work – even though Papi really enjoyed working on these projects with Great Grandpa. Papi wrote "Reto + Red '08" in the cement as a memory.

Books, books, books

I got a bunch of new English books while in America; and I really like looking at my picture books and reading too. Mami says she hopes it stays this way because Mami and Papi did not like books much when they were little.

Reunion

Papi arrived yesterday so now our family is together after 1 week! On the way back from picking up Papi we dropped in to see Grandpa and eat Wings at a Bar! I was SO tired I slept on the middle of the table like a center piece. Then today Grandpa visited me in Towanda and we went for a walk through the old town and by the river.

Grandma and Great Aunt

My Grandma and her sister sure did have fun looking at my pictures, hanging out and remembering how it was with their daughters (my Mami and her 2 cousins).

Me and Mami

Mami is the one who take so many pictures, so she is not in so many with me. But today, Papi took some photos of us together and we did one ‘self-portrait’.
